Writing
Unproduced Short Films
The Thing In Itself. An elderly woman attends therapy as her adult son - who has become unable to identify people and things due to a severe brain injury - abandons the world of objects for a post-linguistic future.
The Wallet. A white collar worker seeks to return a discarded wallet he finds on the train, leading his own identity to unspool as he discovers the CEO it belongs to has descended into madness.
A Rupture. A cascade of traumatising events unfolds as a woman suffers a stroke in the middle of bathing her infant. Won Best Script at Sunday Shorts Film Festival.
Unproduced Feature Scripts
The Body Corporate. Crime drama. Two black-market doctors struggle to reconcile guilt and ambition after an illicit transplant they perform for a terminally-ill probation officer and his wife goes awry. The film is divided into four sections, each of which follows a different character’s perspective and reveals a new layer of the narrative. Reached full read stage in BBC Writersroom 2014, in top 5% of almost 3000 submissions.
Father. Feature family drama. After the sudden death of his mother, a 10-year-old boy moves in with his estranged father, who it soon emerges is a celibate paedophile.
Panopticon. Comedy-drama. In a near-future London, various forces within a government data-gathering agency vie for control in the face of a cell of leftist saboteurs who threaten to overturn the whole system.
Unproduced Television Scripts
“The Word”. US-set drama pilot set in the world of cult deprogramming in the 1980s.
